– Swim lessons are always in season! Swim lessons are offered year-round to help our students maintain and improve their swimming skills and water safety knowledge. Our Perpetual lessons are also convenient as they’re provided on a schedule that works with yours. You’ll always have the option to change your lesson times if available.
– While we cannot guarantee that there will be an available spot on your preferred day and time with your favorite instructor, we’ll do everything we can to work with your schedule and preferences.
–There is no “one size fits all” swim program and our program is completely customized to the student’s individual needs.
The student’s progress is determined by desire, attitude, level of fear, and confidence. Some students take to the water quickly and others are much more hesitant – either is completely normal. Remember the student is learning a new skill, and with learning anything new, this can be frustrating at times – please have patience! The most important thing – is never compare the student’s progress to another. All students are different and our instructors are here to push them, but we need to allow them to learn at their own pace.
– We recommend continuing lessons until you are comfortable with your child’s skill level. The more lessons your child takes, the stronger and safer swimmer he or she will become. Every child learns at a different rate.
– YES! Fear may pop up during any swim lesson, especially in the first few lessons. This is absolutely normal! Remember, when learning a new skill, children may get frustrated, scared, or just not feel up to swimming that day – this is where the tears are coming from.
– At Mac’s, the health and safety of our swimmers are our top priorities. To ensure a safe environment for all, please refrain from attending swim lessons if your child is experiencing:
- Fever
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Or any contagious illness such as pink eye or rashes.
We recommend being symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning to lessons. By staying home when unwell, you help protect the health of our staff and other swimmers.
– As our indoor pool is safely grounded, lessons will continue during thunderstorms or lightning. However, we understand if you choose not to attend, your safety is always our top priority. Please note that if you cancel within 24 hours or after your second absence in a month, rescheduling will not be available.
Tropical storm/Hurricane
In the event of a hurricane or severe weather conditions, safety is our top priority. If a hurricane warning or evacuation is issued for our area, all swim lessons will be canceled until further notice. We will communicate cancellations via email, or text.
Makeup Classes: Canceled lessons due to hurricanes will be eligible for makeup classes, which will be scheduled once it is safe to reopen. These makeups will not count toward the monthly makeup limit and will be scheduled separately.
Rescheduling: We will work to provide available makeup options as soon as possible, based on pool and instructor availability.
No Refunds: While we do not offer refunds for missed lessons due to hurricanes, we will ensure ample opportunities for rescheduling makeup classes.
