Swim Foundations 1 & 2

Ages Vary • 3:1 Student-to-Instructor Ratio

Our Swim Foundations program is designed for swimmers who are ready to begin building true swim skills while continuing to grow confidence, safety awareness, and comfort in the water. These small group lessons provide a supportive, structured environment where swimmers receive individualized attention while learning alongside peers.

In a positive and encouraging setting, swimmers are introduced to the core building blocks of swimming, including water safety, breath control, floating, body position, and early independent movement. Lessons focus on steady skill progression, body awareness, and helping swimmers feel successful as they learn how to move safely and efficiently through the water.

Swim Foundations is broken into progressive levels to ensure swimmers are learning skills that match their comfort level and experience, allowing confidence and independence to grow naturally over time.

Swim Foundations 1 is designed for swimmers who are beginning their swim skill development and are still building comfort and confidence in the water. This class focuses on creating a safe, encouraging, and positive learning environment where swimmers can develop foundational water safety and swim movement skills.
Swimmers are introduced to core swimming fundamentals through structured, supportive instruction that emphasizes confidence, body awareness, and comfort with face submersion. Skills are introduced at a steady, approachable pace, allowing swimmers to build confidence while developing independence and trust in their abilities.

This class is a great fit for swimmers who are newer to lessons, still building water confidence, or are working on foundational skills such as floating with support progressing toward independence, breath control and face submersion awareness, basic propulsion, and understanding pool safety and wall orientation.

Swim Foundations 2 is designed for swimmers who have prior lesson experience and are ready to build more independence, strength, and control in the water. This class focuses on continuing to build water safety skills while helping swimmers develop more consistent and purposeful movement.
Swimmers continue developing core swimming fundamentals through structured, supportive instruction that emphasizes confidence, body awareness, breath control, and independent movement. Skills are practiced with increasing consistency, allowing swimmers to gain control while building trust in their ability to move safely and efficiently through the water.
This class is a great fit for swimmers who are comfortable putting their face in the water, have some floating and kicking experience, and are working toward stronger propulsion, improved body position and balance, more independent front and back floating, and beginning short independent movement and gliding.
